Administration

Principal - Mrs. Jaime Creasy

As a native of Edgefield County, I have the honor to return to the school district where I attended as a student and where my career first began. Nineteen years ago, I began my career with Edgefield County Schools as the district's English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Coordinator. Since this role, I have served as a Classroom Teacher, Special Education Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, and School Administrator. Each experience has provided valuable lessons in educating all children, in all aspects of a child's development and learning progression. My Bachelor of Arts Degree is in Early Childhood Education, my Master of Education Degree is in Elementary Education, and my Educational Specialist Degree is in Educational Administration and Instructional Leadership.

Personally, my husband and I, with our children, reside in Edgefield. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, finding new and interesting places to visit, and serving our community through various charity organizations and projects. Edgefield is home to our family and we are blessed to raise our children in this great community!

As the principal of W.E. Parker Elementary, I am committed to ensuring that our students are engaged in innovative and meaningful learning experiences every day. We are looking forward to a great start to the 2020-2021 academic year, and thank you for supporting our team as we ENGAGE, EMPOWER, and ENRICH students in the new school year!

Assistant Principal - Dr. Denise Newman

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I have become a member of the Parker Pride!  I am honored to embark upon my role as the Assistant Principal of W. E. Parker Elementary School, and I am looking forward to assisting Mrs. Creasy with all the great ideas and initiatives at Parker.

My educational background is a Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Middle School Education from the University of South Carolina, a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading Curriculum, a second Masters of Arts in Educational Administration both from Grand Canyon University, and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.

I have lived in the CSRA for my entire life.  I have been married to my husband Jim for 23 years.  Together we have 2 sons, James and Patrick.  James is 20 and is a fireman with our local fire department.  He works full time and is attending college.  Patrick is 17 and is a senior in High school.  He enjoys playing his trumpet and watching TV.

I have spent much of my professional career working with elementary school students. I was a classroom teacher at Sue Reynolds Elementary with the Richmond County School District (Augusta, GA) for 10 years.  I then worked in the Aiken County School District as a STEM Coordinator at Jackson Middle School.  Last year I served in 2 administrative roles, first as a Kindergarten and Lower School Director at Mead Hall Episcopal School in Aiken and as an Assistant Principal at North Augusta Middle School.

My decision to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the Assistant Principal, I will work diligently with our faculty and staff to carry out the vision and mission of Parker Elementary School. I believe that as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. I am committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our children achieve their full potential and are prepared for their next phase of their education career. I look forward to being a part of the Parker Pride.

Wishing you and your family a safe and healthy school year.
