There are many big days for children in elementary school.  Celebrating grandparents is one of those days.  In honor of Grandparents’ Day, W. E. Parker Elementary School invited grandparents to come enjoy breakfast with their grandchildren on Friday, September 8.  Approximately 300 grandparents came and shared breakfast and hugs with their grandchildren.

The children were so excited about their grandparents coming.  They prepared special writings and drawings for them.  After eating, many grandparents visited the classrooms to see the love that their grandchildren had put on paper for them.  There was no shortage of smiling faces.
